THEMATIC AND STYLISTIC CONCERNS OF OUTDOOR SCULPTURES IN KOGI STATE: This is the study of thematic and stylistic concerns of outdoor sculpture tradition in Kogi State in the middle belt region of Nigeria. The State is fairly large and heterogeneous, comprising three major ethnic groups – Ebira, Igala and Okun (Yoruba). In spite of its richness in artistic tradition s, being the former seat of the British colonial government of Nigeria for a period of time, as attested to by the striking outdoor sculptural and artistic relics of the State, it has not been fully focused by scholarship.
