THE ESSENCE OF PRESERVATION AND CONSERVATION OF LIBRARY MATERIALS IN KOGI STATE POLYTECHNIC ACADEMIC LIBRARY: This research work was designed to examine the essence of preservation and conservation of library materials in kogi state polytechnic academic library. The specific objectives of the study is to find out the variety of library materials available in Kogi State Polytechnic library, and find out the techniques employed in the preservation and conservation library materials by kogi state polytechnic library. It is also to find out the problem of preservation of non-book materials in kogi state polytechnic library.
